In this context, I emphatically state that Jeevan Jyoti mahavidyalaya, Raikia has taken upon itself the onus of bringing about a positive change in the Raikia Block in the field of education.

Jeevan Jyoti mahavidyalaya, Raikia is a composite degree college in the Raikia Block of Kandhamal district and a leading academic institution catering to the educational need of the people of this backward and neglected tribal region at affordable fee. Ever since its establishment in 1986, it has been playing a big role in promoting higher education in the Kandhamal district in general and Raikia Block in particular. Our college offers both (+2) Arts/Science and (+3) Arts at a comparatively cheaper fees. Located at Raikia town on the Bhanjanagar- Balliguda route, it is 85 kms (detour 65 kms) from the district headquarter town Phulbani and 246 kms from Bhubaneswar, the state capital. The college is full-aided and managed by a Governing Body. It is recognized by the Government of Odisha and is affiliated to the Council of Higher Secondary Education at (+2) Level and to the Berhampur University at the (+3) Level.
